Day 01 Delhi / Kathmandu
Fly Delhi-Kathmandu in the morning and arrive Kathmandu in the afternoon. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 02 Kathmandu
Full day birding tour at Phulchowki. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03 Kathmandu/ Chitwan National Park
Early morning drive to Chitwan National Park (5 hours). Check-in at the wildlife lodge. Afternoon birding with a guide at Royal Chitwan Park. Overnight at a wildlife resort.

Day 04 & 05Chitwan National Park
Early morning park visit on an elephant / jeep. In the afternoon, set out for bird watching in the canoes. Overnight at a wildlife resort.

Day 06 Chitwan National Park
Morning birding in the park. Drive to Kathmandu stopping en route for birding (5-6 hr.).

Day 07 Kathmandu / Paro
Fly to Paro by Druk Air. Look for Ibis bill in Paru chu near the car park. Transfer to the hotel. Go birding at Paro chu again. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 08 Paro / Thimphu
Morning birding tour along the river Paro chu. After breakfast, visit the Natural History Museum at Ta Dzong. Afternoon drive to the capital city of Thimpu stopping en route to look for Ibis bill and other birds. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 09 Thimpu /Phobjhika
Leave very early in the morning for Phobjhika (6 hr.) stopping enroute for an hour at Dochula for birding. After lunch visit the Gangtey Gompa (monastery). Evening birding in Phobjhika valley. Overnight stay in a guest house.

Day 10 Phobjhika/Punakha
Early morning walk to the bogs to see the black-necked cranes. Return to the guest house for breakfast. Drive to Punakha. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 11 Punakha
A short walk along River MoChu and the surrounding forests are very productive for birding. Overnight stay at the hotel at Punakha.

Day 12 Punakha/Thimpu
Drive to Thimpu (3 ½ hr.) stopping for birding en route. Afternoon proceed to the entrance of Jigmey Dorji National Park for birding till sunset. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 13 Thimpu/Paro
Morning visit to the zoo to see Takin and for birding. Drive to Paro (3 hr.). Overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.

Day 14 Paro/Delhi/ Calcutta
Connect flight to onward destination

• Bird sightings depend greatly on season, timing, and patience.
